Assholes Finish First by Tucker Max

A friend of mine introduced me to Tucker Max's blog on a night where my boyfriend just dumped me, and was trying to simultaneously prove how horrible men could be while also trying to make me laugh. As he read story after story (yes my friend was male and was willing to prove the chauvinist of his gender simply to make the sobbing stop) both goals were accomplished. After that night I did not read anymore of his blog, but much later heard that he had turned his work into books. Upon hearing this I decided Assholes Finish First, one of the first of the Tucker Max books, would be an excellent gift for my new boyfriend who was an avid humor reader.
Most girlfriends would not pick this book for their fella, as it simply glorifies the frat boy stereotype that all women hope will one day become extinct, but we were both so good natured about the whole thing that it turned out to be a great choice for him. We decided that it would be a book we would read together, and often found ourselves laughing to the point of tears and side cramps at the cost of the poor women who had the misfortune to come across Tucker Max and the encounter become just humiliating enough to make the perfect cocktail hour antidote.
As the book is written in blog style, each chapter is a short story on the topic of Max's sexual and as close to romantic as he gets escapades. The border along the unbelievable, but each story is so incredible that you know that this reality is much stranger than fiction. Even the tamest of his tales could not be imagined by even the most innovative minds. Be prepared to be shocked by his candor and brash descriptions and no holds bard uncensored accounts of one night stands and nights at the bar, all gone horribly awry. But if you are willing to take his writing for what it is and not allow yourself to be offended, you will find yourself laughing at the ridiculous situations that this man finds himself in. Of all his books, Assholes Finish First is my favorite, because I feel it is the most well rounded and a complete depiction of the way Maxx leads his life, or rather on how he wants that life to be perceived.
