Do you have dreams, or do you regularly dream? The dreams that didn’t come true are probable dreams realized in the future, as long as you concentrate on the vision. Disasters To Dreams is a non-fictional novel full of inspirations to get on track and continue to focus on what you want. What does it cost to dream again, especially where all odds seem to be against you?

Chris Patrick is a prominent business person and a multi-million real estate trader who shared his vital setbacks and comebacks in pursuing his dreams. The author shares his experiences and advises his readers to focus on one goal instead of being stuck and confused about what they should do first. He emphasizes that not achieving your ambitions should strengthen you further to even achieving more. Chris was falsely accused of rape in his high school and got suspended. He also made several failed attempts at business and was ousted by his employers, which eventually traumatized him before he was finally propelled towards the opportunities that graced his life.

There are several positive aspects that are worth mentioning in this book. First, I loved how the author concluded his chapters with provoking questions like, “What about you?” This question invites the reader to deliberate on their attitudes or beliefs towards the author's discussion. Secondly, the author's series of interviews with successful characters depicts the author’s passion for sharing knowledge and experiences with a vast majority. From my point of view, Chris Patrick is an enthusiastic person who believes in providing practical solutions to people, an attribute that makes him an exemplary business leader and life coach.

However, there is a point where I believe that the author almost digressed to an irrational point of view. He argues that “Whatever path you taking, keep pushing, the results are exactly what you want.” He needs to clarify the results he describes because unforeseen occurrences often cause re-adjustments of goals and aim towards a dream. In a nutshell, failure isn’t meant to pin you down but to make you gain more courage to strike and become successful.

In conclusion, I profoundly recommend this book to idealists and readers who enjoy texts on self-improvement. Other readers can also benefit from the tricks used by the author when experiencing unprecedented setbacks. There is nothing I liked least in this book, so I award it four out of four stars. It is also professionally edited as I did not find any grammatical errors.
