Embody Wholeness by Judith Hoaglund explored the non-physical realm of spiritual energy healing. At seven years old, Judith had been taken with the existence of things that the five senses could not perceive. At the age of twenty-seven, she encountered the 'Divine,' which started her journey towards energy healing. Through the years, Judith learned more about the energy healing process. She acquainted herself with hypnosis, acupuncture, meditation, and breathwork practices. Her healing practice was devoted to helping people expunge negative energies within them and obtaining healing for them using the Shamanic hypnosis journey. She explored the role of childhood traumas, unresolved past life issues, and ancestral traumas in people's present incarnations.

What Judith did with Embody Wholeness was to unveil an unconventional and unorthodox practice. It's not out of place to assume that the author's beliefs would elicit many doubts from readers. This would be expected in a world where science, reason, and logic had trumped people's belief in the supernatural. For years, the world's mantra had been this: "anything that cannot be explained cannot be real." However, Judith was unaffected by this logic. She believed, and the confident voice with which she wrote this book could not be disputed. The book's formatting aptly presented the author's thoughts and narration, making the order decipherable and easy to follow.

Judith did not rely only on her experiences to showcase her belief in the energy healing process. She drew from the knowledge of external scholars who had written related works, like Dr. Daniel Foor's work titled Ancestral Medicine: Rituals for Personal and Family Healing. She also used stories of her client's experiences in the book, making it appear even more surreal. The stories made it more authentic and believable because the premise of belief no longer relied solely on the author's assertions. Reading these stories felt like being in a scene of a ghost-busting movie.

What this book would do for its readers would be the awakening of their inner curiosity. What if life was indeed more than can be perceived by the five senses? What if many ailments had their root in energy deposits? What if truly the spiritual energy process heals? What if past lives did affect the present one? These and many more questions would beset readers of this book. It may also be correct to say that the purpose of this book would have been achieved when readers are spurred to reexamine all they had known about life and the non-physical realm and ponder on the reality of past lives, reincarnation, and life after death.

This was a well-written, exceptionally edited piece that encapsulated thought-provoking assertions. There was nothing not to like in this book. Open-minded readers interested in the supernatural workings would find this book appealing. I’d rate Embody Wholeness four out of four stars.

The idea that there is more to this world we live in than meets our perception is enough to get me to pick this book up. But the title on its own was intriguing enough. Thanks for the great review.

Energy healing is something different from the normal medical curing of ailments. It is the spiritual awakening and the book seems to have depicted it nicely. Good review, thanks.
