I haven't been a fan of metaphysics. I always thought it would be uninteresting until I came across God, the Active Principle of Infinite Love. This book is a non-fiction book that has eighty chapters, and M.J. Azhikannickal wrote it. The author's desire is to answer the question: who is God? He also sought to explain what human response should be to God logically. These compelled him to write this book.

In the first chapter, Azhikannickal started by telling the readers the various definitions and opinions of religions and their religious leaders, as well as their beliefs in who God is. He went on to say that scientific and mathematical methods cannot give accurate answers to this question. Was this author able to logically prove his definition of God? What exactly is our responsibility as humans supposed to be as creations of God? I encourage you to get a copy of this book to find out.

While reading this thrilling book, I found some positive aspects. First, the book contained a heading in every chapter; this helped me to understand what each chapter was about. Another positive point in favor of this book is that it had references at the end. This would encourage further research for anyone who wants to know more about the topic. Also, I appreciate the author, Azhikannickal, for this excellent research work. While reading the book, I noticed he cited some professors and philosophers in his book. He mentioned authors like Dr. Michael J. Cohen, Professor Benjamin Libet, Dr. Michael Gazzaniga, Professor Peter Tse, Jeff Miller, and Judy Trevena, and lots more.

I also found only one negative aspect in this book. I found the diction of this book sophisticated. I came across so many new words, and most times, I needed to find out their meaning. This interrupted the smooth flow of my reading. Some examples of these words are emotivity, stupendous, flexion, insularism, pendulation, ascetics, and so on. This may be a challenge to some readers; it may not be relatively easy to understand.

I found minimal errors in this book; it was professionally edited. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I did not give this book a lower rating since the negative aspect I outlined above did not take away my overall satisfaction from the book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves metaphysics. I also recommend it to people who would like to understand who God is logically.

The discourse on the nature of God is really a complex one. And since no assertion should be outrightly dismissed in the quest for the ultimate truth, this book is worth reading.
