Review of Unfaltering Trust
One man's quest can birth an incredible story that may fill pages and pages of history books. One man's ordinary dream can rise above realms of reality and soar beyond comprehension. One such man is Edward Fitz Randolph, a native of England whose move to the New World left an indelible mark in the history of America. Not only did his descendants fill the seats of politics, wars, revolutions, and businesses, four of them rose to the highest seat of American politics and became presidents. Roy Ziegler encapsulates the man's amazing story and offers Unfaltering Trust for our own educational benefit.
As someone who is fascinated by general knowledge, I found the book to be nothing but mind-blowing. I kept asking myself if the story was true because it's unbelievable. As a non-American, I was unaware of an Edward Fitz Randolph until I opened the pages of this book, but the discovery wasn't any less impressive because of that fact. The book is a historical trove of facts that made me seek to learn more about the history of pilgrims. It's a fairly easy concept to grasp, that one man's descendants will spread and go on to do impactful things in the world, but this book puts it in such fantastic context and makes it real.
Apart from the subject's lineage birthing four presidents, some of the other notable roles the descendants played include efforts in the abolishment of slavery, the American Revolutionary War, industrial development, and the founding of New Jersey, to name a very few. I don't know of any other lineage that has had a more remarkable existence. If there's another lineage that mirrors or surpasses this one, then I would be highly impressed.
I must also commend the author on his research efforts. I can only imagine the time needed to put such a book together. The book contains a very extensive bibliography that suggests that the author went through a great number of writings to dig up the information that ultimately went into this piece.
There's really nothing about the book that I thought was bad. I enjoyed it all. Every aspect of it told a story and fulfilled its mandate. The book, too, was exceptionally edited. I noted no grammatical errors, as such, I rated this book 4 out of 4 stars. This just reads like a faultless book and deserves a full star rating. I'd specifically recommend it to those interested in history, and more pointedly, American history.
