Jan Hurst's His Sunrise My Sunset: A True Story of Love and Loss is a touching tribute to Steve, her loving husband. In this book, Ms. Hurst tells the story of her beautiful relationship with her husband, how much she misses him after his demise, and her new normal. She also expresses total submission to the will of God and belief in life after death.

Ms. Hurst recounts how she and Steve became sweethearts when they were 17 and 19, married, and raised two girls, who now have their own families. The couple loved each other's company and often enjoyed trips together. Sadly, on one of such trips, the unexpected happened. Steve's last words to his wife were, "I love you."

Despite the book's touching content, I appreciate the author's story and thank her for sharing it. What I like most about the book is the author's inspiring message. Love is a beautiful thing, and it's evident in the author's story about her beautiful relationship with her husband. Fortunately, losing someone dear didn't make her lose faith in God. I especially liked Ms. Hurst's message of hope and submission to God's will because readers would learn to trust God's plans and ways. Also, the author's story reminds us that life isn't guaranteed, and she advises us to live every day as if it's our last day on earth.

Furthermore, I am sure readers would find the author's ways of coping with life after losing her beloved husband inspiring. I love how the author shows her readers the importance of support groups through her story. It's not easy to deal with the loss of a loved one, so support groups can help one deal with grief. Additionally, I learned life lessons about how we must separate ourselves from toxic relationships, regardless of who is involved, be it a sibling or even a parent.

Another aspect of the book that I love is the author's use of simple and easy-to-understand language. There wasn't any part of the book that got me confused, and her tone made the book even more intriguing. I also didn't find any errors throughout the publication, which attests to its exceptional editing.

I didn't dislike anything about this beautiful tribute. In fact, the story has helped me reflect on my marriage and think of ways to make it even more exciting. However, I thought the author's narrations about the dysfunction in Steve's family weren't necessary. Regardless, I am rating the book four out of four stars because that little qualm didn't detract from my enjoyment of the book. Despite quotes from the Bible and references to Jesus in this book, I highly recommend it to any reader interested in enjoying a well-written tribute by a loving wife to her beloved husband. Readers would learn life lessons from the book. Also, people who have lost someone dear to them would find the author's story uplifting and inspiring.

The pains from the loss of someone dear is devastating, and sometimes eternal. I hope we learn to find comfort from Hurst's story.

I feel sad that such a beautiful love story had to come to an end so abruptly. I have to commend Jan's unwavering faith and belief in God despite the painful loss of her beloved husband.
