Review of Winning the War on Cancer
There have been many unjust acts by the government against its citizens, but nobody has been bold enough to bring them into the limelight. Sylvie Beljanski is one of the few that has taken it upon herself to fight for justice through writing books. Winning the War on Cancer is a memoir that talks about cures for cancer.
Mirko Beljanski and Monique Beljanski discovered a plant that has the power to eliminate cancer cells without any side effects. This treatment gained a high success rate and even helped to cure the French president, François Mitterrand. However, the French government and medical companies were against this and assigned soldiers to arrest the couple and destroy every trace of their research. These events allowed Sylvie Beljanski to gain interest in this issue, and she tried hard to bring about justice using every means within her reach. Is her method effective? Does justice prevail? Read this book to find out.
The author is a lawyer who uses her parents' story as a background to talk about medicine, science, and politics. From the stories told to her by her father, the author sought to give hope to people regarding cancer. She sought to promote a natural and alternative cure for cancer, which synthetic methods have failed to produce. She had gotten involved with the primary aims of freeing her parents and providing help for cancer patients. From her parent's ordeals, the author showcased the acts of the government and pharmaceutical companies against a natural alternative to illnesses. They perceive these natural cures as an attack on them. It showcased how the US government deprives citizens of freedom of choice concerning their health issues for selfish gains. The book was insightful.
Despite the subjects discussed in this book, the book was interesting to read. The author wrote and used language that would make anyone understand the information in the book, regardless of their previous knowledge of medicine. It contained ten chapters that were rightly structured, and the information in the book was richly textured and well-researched. The author narrated with an impartial voice. It made all things just and transparent. I admire the author’s hard work, boldness, and courage as they were inspiring. She beautifully retold the stories her father told her about his research. She narrated them as if she had her audience.
There was nothing to dislike about this book. It was informative, educational, and intriguing. It had a writing style that balanced narration, exposition, and dialogue. The book was also exceptionally well-edited, as I found no errors while reading. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.
I recommend this book to those that have been diagnosed with cancer. I also recommend it to those who have relatives or individuals that have cancerous cells. The author's love for her father made her write this book to let the story be known to the world. Medically inclined individuals are also welcome to read.
