A Dream For Peace is a 644-page memoir that explores the life of the resistance fighter, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, and his journey to restore peace. As was disclosed within the contents of this book, Dr. Berrah was an Algerian advocate who was arrested in Spain solely due to his involvement in political activism. However, he was able to move to China and the United States of America for his studies and work. Furthermore, details such as the obliteration of Algeria's history by the colonizing country, France, among many other discourses, were explored. Of course, because this is quite a lengthy read, one can expect that a myriad of intriguing narratives will be explored deeply.

The first element that stood out to me in this book was how it was sequentially arranged into titled chapters, such that it was easy for me to follow through. Similarly, the book was laced with every bit of thoroughness. This, in turn, made me relate to the vivid descriptions employed by the writer. Even though the pictures presented looked old due to the time they were taken, I appreciated them because they further buttressed the setting in which the events occurred. The truth is that you can't expect pictures taken in the early 90s with a camera with a reduced resolution to be as sharp as what we have in today's world. In addition, I loved the inspirational quotes strategically placed at different points, which emphasized crucial ideas.

A Dream For Peace was an enthralling and educative read for me, as I understood in clear terms how colonialism, racism, and injustice affect victims. I won't forget to mention the doggedness and diplomacy exhibited by Dr. Berrah in the quest for peace. In addition, I came to understand certain stories about Africa that took place in the early twenties. I am only re-emphasizing the fact that I found this book enjoyable, and there was absolutely nothing unappealing about it.

Since I did not come across any real errors, I can state that A Dream For Peace was professionally edited. In addition, given the positive aspects of this book, it is only fair that I give it a rating of four out of four stars.

Overall, this book largely explores the political history, diplomacy, racism, and colonialism in Africa. As such, readers who find these topics engaging can sit through reading A Dream For Peace. Hence, I recommend it to them. I'll call this book a thought-provoking narrative.

I also believe that the best way to seek peace is often diplomacy. There are well-known stories of countries that lost wars without heavy mortalities without even achieving the one thing the went to war for. That brings us back to the importance of diplomacy. This is a nicely written review. Well done.

Wow. This book has always been a turn-off for me because of its page length but I think this is the first review I've actually read about it. It's nice to know it did ok.

Your review of this book is thorough and insightful. The issue of racism, colonialism, and injustice should be classified as a global threat to the harmonious, continued existence of the human race. I commend Berrah for being courageous enough to write this book. African peoples need to act on the striking issues addressed in this book.

I'm not sure I'll enjoy this book due to the complex themes. But based on your excellent review, I'm willing to give it a try.

Honestly, I've seen this book couple of times and I'm always quick to skip it because of how long it is. Also I'm embarrassed to say that I'm not well informed on past events. I'm willing to give it a try and learn more on colonialism. Thanks for the thorough review.

From comments on this review, I don't think I will read this book. Lengthy books are not my thing at all. It tends to delay my progress to venture into another book. But I love your review. Amazing and intriguing.

Berrah was a man of a good personality. His life is a good motivation for Africans. His expression of love for his wife is worthy of imitation by husbands. Good review
