Births and deaths are an integral part of life. Births are mostly a happy occasion that is celebrated. But deaths are something that is grieved, despite knowing its inevitability. However, the essence of life lies in acknowledging the fact that life is meant to be lived and loved as long as you are on this planet earth and embracing all the highs and lows that come your way. With this as focus, Meg Nocero has written the book called, Butterfly Awakens: A Transformation Through Grief.

This book is a heart-touching memoir that consists of three parts with 25 chapters in it. Meg Nocero is an attorney in her 40s working at a courthouse in the US. Here, the author talks about how her life took a turn when her dear mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and failed to thrive. The author’s whole world toppled after this. She had to resign from her job and went through professional, physical, and emotional hardships. Despite this, she did not give up. She turned to spirituality to get out of her misery which brought back her hope and purpose. If you want to know more about the author’s journey, then you must read this book.

I highly appreciate the author’s strong will and heart. She is truly inspiring and motivating. Though there are many sad instances in the books, she always had an optimistic viewpoint to it. However, the initial part of the book literally brought tears to my eyes. It was very emotional. I still kept going because I knew it would get better, and I am glad to say that it did! One of the best and relieving statements that I read in the book is when the author said to herself, “Oh, Dad, it’s a wonderful world.” Ah! I felt great for her. Another thing that I liked in this book is, that the author has included beautiful quotes at the beginning of the chapters that make it quite insightful.

All in all, I had a great time reading this book. There is nothing that I disliked about this. This book seems well edited, as I did not find any errors while reading. With that being said, I rate Butterfly Awakens: A Transformation Through Grief 4 out of 4 stars. I do not have any reason to rate this lower.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is going through a difficult phase in their life and also, those who want to look at life from a different and positive perspective. This is not suitable for people who are sensitive to subjects like loss of any kind or death.

It's A sad story, and she goes through a lot of pain. Her mother does not recover, and that's even sadder. I loved your review and also enjoyed
