Review of Seeking... Finding... Healing...
Review of Seeking… Finding… Healing… by Becky Lu Jackson
Seeking… Finding… Healing… by Becky Lu Jackson is a very impactful and real book, involving true-life stories. The book is primarily aimed at conquering and healing past trauma. The author is also a benefactor of these laid-down procedures for healing past trauma. She had actually suffered from alcohol, eating, and drug addictions, which caused destructive emotions and behaviors that had been harming her and her family. She decided to adopt a style of visualization that would link her with her younger selves in order to identify the cause of her past pains and conquer them. She actually worked on the inner family concept, interacted with her younger selves, determined the reason for her pain, worked on it, and got healed.
The author wants readers to adopt the inner family concept, relate to their younger selves, identify the cause of their pain, work on it, and get healed. Jackson made an effort to write guidelines to assist readers in creating their own inner families. Jackson also wants readers to include spiritual patterns in their inner families.
This book is a very wonderful and impactful one. I think the concept of the inner family is a very good way of overcoming the effects of past trauma. I have also benefited from the inner family concept. I tried to connect myself to my younger selves in areas of my life that I’m not satisfied with. This book will be helpful to people who have experienced childhood trauma and are still dealing with the consequences of that trauma.
My favorite aspects of this book are the true-life stories, especially her personal stories, which were used by the author in passing across the step-by-step guidelines for creating an inner family. These will enable readers to conceptualize the guidelines for healing. I also like the way she explained some topics and the outlined procedures and the involvement of spiritual guides in creating an inner family. This book is so comprehensive and I disliked nothing about it.
I recommend this book for people who are faced with the effects of childhood trauma. I did not notice any errors while reading the book. There was also no use of sexual, vulgar, or abusive words. There were no grammatical errors either. So I suppose this book was well edited. I will rate this book four out of four stars, because of the explicit explanations of all the points. The book is very informative and it entails very good and easy-to-follow patterns of healing past trauma.
