Mind, Body, Spirit and Discovering the Purpose of Life is a book written by Diane Calabrese. Written in sixteen chapters, this book furnishes a reader with all the necessary tools for leading a well-rounded life and maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual health.

This book begins with an introduction to chakras, which are special points in a body and also the connection between the mind, spirit, and body. This book includes different holistic healing practices from different backgrounds, dating back to hundreds of years prior now. It also includes creative expressions in different forms and how they help maintain mental health. Mind, Body, Spirit and Discovering the Purpose of Life also expatiates on the need to have faith both in yourself and in God. Backed up with real-life experiences, Diane Calabrese also throws more light on controversial topics about life and beyond. With tons of exercises and checklists, this book is the average man's handbook to living a completely balanced life.

This book is wonderful, and I found a lot of positive aspects to it. Firstly, this book used a lot of references and provided a lot of other sources and books for readers to do further research; I found this extremely helpful. Again, this book had immediate and practical exercises for the reader to participate in, ensuring the reader's involvement. Also, there were a lot of images and illustrations in this book. It provided more information and made the book not monotonous. Also, in this book, Diane Calabrese included a lot of affirmations to help the reader, as well as specific details as to the execution of the practices listed in the book. Finally, I liked how the book gave tips and guides on mental, physical, and spiritual health, recognizing how important each aspect is.

This book did have one negative aspect, though. It was not properly edited and contained a lot of errors which got a bit confusing. For instance, the 'Tai chi' practice was continuously spelt as 'tia chi' throughout the book. I found this weird and annoying.

I give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. I rated this book this way because it was a completely amazing book, and I enjoyed reading it. I deducted a star because of the negative aspect mentioned above.

I would recommend this book to everyone since I think everybody should read it, but I would particularly recommend this book to anyone that needs help in creating a balanced life and also to anyone interested in health practices aside from traditional medicine.
