Idiom Attack Everyday Living Vol. 1 (Trad. Chinese Edition) is a book that gives its readers an in-depth understanding of 300 idioms that are native to North America. This edition focuses on traditional Chinese speakers who are currently learning to read and write English. The author, Peter Liptak, teaches how to use these idioms in three steps. The first is the translation of every idiom from English to traditional Chinese. Secondly, he explains every idiom with examples and some others with pictures. Lastly, he provided exercises that helped readers test their progress in understanding all the lessons.

I can say a ton of positive things about this book. One of those is the author’s decision to add different kinds of exercises to the book, which is brilliant. I enjoyed reading the short stories and answering the questions that followed them. Another is its simplicity, which I mentioned earlier. The simplicity of this book is just great because it means that everyone, both young and old, will be able to read and digest the content of this book without much problem.

If you asked me what I liked above all else in the book, it would have to be the simplicity I talked about above. Peter Liptak never attempted to complicate anything in the book. I like that. Again, if you ask me about my dislikes, I will say that no part of the book rubbed me the wrong way. This is great because now I can say that I liked everything and disliked nothing about the book.

It is time to rate this good book. From all I have said, you should be able to tell what exactly I am giving this book in terms of rating. If you have not guessed it yet, I have decided to give it 4 out of 4 stars. This book is perfect. I do not understand why a dolphin is on its cover. I guess that may be the author’s logo. Well, it is alright. Idiom Attack Everyday Living Vol. 1 (Trad. Chinese Edition) was ideal for me. It did not have one single error or typo in it. Peter Liptak edited it excellently. This is a good thing because it ensures an uninterrupted flow of the author's thoughts.

I recommend Idiom Attack Everyday Living Vol. 1 (Trad. Chinese Edition) to ESL learners that speak traditional Chinese. One warning I will give is that nobody should rely on this alone if you want to learn the English language from scratch.
