THE FIRST TIME FATHER THE EXPECTANT SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR FIRST-TIME DADS THROUGH PREGNANCY JOURNEY by ALFIE THOMAS. The author wrote about his journey of being a dad. He has three children, two girls and one boy and had been to the theater and through that whole experience three times.

In the book he gave tips that you wouldn't find anywhere. A lot of books have been written for women and their experience and what to expect. However, not so many have been written by men for men. To be honest, this is the first time I have come across a book with such content. Some things he talked about in the book were too real to be faked just for content. As a woman I have never been pregnant or had a baby, so this book was quite eye-opening for me too. If my time comes my partner has to read this book no cap.

What I liked about this book was the author's honesty. From the beginning of the book he created an environment where he was able to speak freely and frankly all throughout the book. Something men are usually afraid to talk about openly, or they shy away from such topics. Not this author. He introduced some rather intimate topics that he kept short, thought-provoking and honest.

As a woman who is often nagged by the behavior of men especially during pregnancy, I cannot hold anything against the author. I got so triggered when during his first delivery in the maternity ward, all men bolted leaving their wives to deal with the delivery alone. So I have no negative thoughts about the book. I found it to be simple and straight to the point. The language used was impressively clear and easy to read. I did not spot any typing or spelling mistakes in the book. This led me to believe that the book was well edited.

Finally, a book worthy of recommendation needs a good rating. Therefore, I rate this book as 4 out of 4 . First, because I found the book to be informative and thought-provoking. I even recommended this book to a friend of mine who is pregnant because I thought that some things that they are going through in their pregnancy have been addressed in the book. So the book has really helpful content. This book also called out dead beat dads. It is also insightful and well written. I recommend this book to expectant couples and couples or people who are planning to get pregnant especially for the first time.
