“Follow the Model: Miss J's Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise, and Power” By J. Alexander

I went into this book expecting it to be a step by step instruction to modeling, overall posture, and maybe some attitude. But actually, it is an autobiography with tidbits of counsel and reflection throughout. The book is really relaxed, as if he is relaying the information to a friend. It is filled with tons of relatable circumstances and funny quips. It touches on respecting your parents (and other authority figures), it gives advice when in an interview, and naturally instructs on posing and walking. It is a short read (217 pgs), and overall enjoyable. I give it a 2 out of 4. It was good for passing the time, but I don't feel I learned anything new. However! I would think that it would be a much better book for younger audiences... teens or so who could use the confidence boost and haven't really faced any of the 'real world' yet. It is good advice. So, don't write it off completely.
I love LOVE. <3
