Seeking... Finding... Healing... by Becky Lu Jackson was a very mind-blowing book but at the same time life-changing. It was about seeking one's inner self and trying to reconcile with the past life experiences that one has gone through. The author provided a guide on seeking " your inner family", which consisted of the younger selves of a person and finding them. Then going through the healing process.

The author gave her own experience and personalized her younger self at earlier ages and tried to reconcile with them. She also gave them voices. She wrote letters of apology and assurance of a better life and a better current and future self for them. In the book, she held that there cannot be healing unless there is solid trust between a person and their "inner family". The author took me as a reader through the journey that she had to go through to find inner peace and healing. I felt that this was important because it relieved me as a reader of my shame. Because if such a successful person went through certain experiences and wasn’t ashamed to tell the world about them, I had nothing to be ashamed of.

What stood out for me was how the author chose to use her own experiences to make her points more relatable. By using her story, I felt moved to make changes in my life too. It takes a lot of courage for one to share her experiences with the rest of the world who are total strangers and be vulnerable in such a way. This is what I liked most about this book.

While reading the book I did not spot any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes in the book. There were also no editorial mistakes in the book whatsoever. This informed my thoughts that the book was well edited. I, however, felt that there were some parts where the author was being a bit redundant, especially where there was a repetition of points.

I would like to rate this book as 4 out of 4 because it was an excellent read. The book was well-paced, written in simple, understandable language and straight to the point. My rating is majorly based on the fact that this book has changed my life. In this book, I have found tips and guides on how to heal from my past traumas and forgive myself for the mistakes that I made in my young adult life. I would like to recommend this book to people suffering from anxiety, post-traumatic disorder and depression because I feel that it contains information that they might find useful.
