Review of A Dream For Peace
Wow! What an inspirational journey. While reading this incredible biography, this was the main thought that came to mind. Many will agree that the transition from being an immigrant child to being a presidential advisor is difficult. A Dream for Peace is a personal story written by a man who succeeds in bringing liberty and diplomacy to a conflict-torn world by willingly risking his life for peace and rising above the challenges that threaten to drown him.
I applaud the author for enhancing the book's resourcefulness, as evidenced by its holistic presentation, discussions, and the profound questions it raises about the world we live in. Is it true that love, good conscience, and peace truly defeat hatred and bigotry? Could dialogue have the ability to resolve conflict? What kind of aura results from courage, conviction, and firmness in one's beliefs? All of these questions are brilliantly answered in remarkable good-for-thought ideas by a classy diplomat whose tireless proponent for world peace is articulated in well-thought-out philosophical ideas to which anyone can easily relate.
The narration is primarily told in the first person. This, I believe, had a significant impact on the storyline's uniqueness. Furthermore, the reader clearly resonates with the first-hand experience, and their comprehension of the plot development is aided by the fact that they have a real-time update of every action and subsequent reaction in the text. The fact that the author worked to develop even the most minor of events into a larger, more compelling anecdote is my favourite aspect of the text. For example, I couldn't help but laugh when Berrah, as a teenager, promised his mother not to ride a motorcycle, knowing full well that his desire to do so would cause him to break the promise. Only later do we discover him crying out his mother's name as he loses control of a motorcycle after speeding and, of course, taking a nasty fall on the road.
There wasn't a single aspect of this memoir that I didn't enjoy. Beautiful illustrations give the story a literary edge, breaking up the monotony of narration and making the story more lively and interesting. Moreover, Inspirational phrases appear throughout the story, reinforcing key principles while also conveying a sense of lofty, uplifting purpose. I'll never forget how well the story was delivered as a whole. The book is divided into seventeen chapters that break down the big subject into easily digestible chunks.
In my opinion, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah led a life that many men would envy. As a peace ambassador, he not only lived an inspiring and beautiful life, but he also married the most beautiful and sweetest woman on earth. In this book, he made numerous references to her lovely demeanour, with her undeniable charisma and vitality seen in her wonderful smile in the two photographs that conclude this work. During my reading experience, I did not come across any errors. This supports my belief that professional editing was used in the release of this work. I give A Dream For Peace four out of four stars for this purpose and the wonderful presentation. I recommend it to everyone interested in geopolitical interactions and learning about political dynamics.
