Adult Coloring Book by Takeua Pierce is almost exactly what it sounds like. It is a short coloring book full of some interesting patterns and floral designs. Interwoven in the pictures are some positive and motivational phrases meant to inspire good vibes and peace in the artist. The pages are full of leaves, stars, flowers, and geometrical patterns accompanied by words reminding the reader of his or her value and beauty.

This coloring book has a variety of patterns that are sure to entertain the one coloring for hours. The uplifting words and phrases placed throughout help promote a meditative experience while coloring. I enjoy a good coloring book, and this one provides a few good pages of leaf and flower patterns that are suitable for adults. These few pages that seem to have had the most care and thought put into their design are my favorite part of the book. The majority of the pages, though, are not very intricate in design. They seem to be just large squiggles that any young child might enjoy filling in.

While I appreciate the affirmative messages spread throughout the book and understand the idea behind promoting good thoughts and positive self-image, the editing was very poorly done. In fact, it seems like there are more pages in this book with spelling and grammatical errors than without errors. This was the worst part of the book for me. It really took away from the inspirational quotes trying to be conveyed. It would have been better without any words rather than quotes like, "Belive in you." and "Art is happness." These phrases are so large and bold across the pages that one cannot help but be distracted by the ridiculousness.

I give this book one out of four stars. I do love to color, but unfortunately this fell short for me in so many ways. It is not really suitable for adults, despite its name. The pages are just too simple. The positive words and phrases spread throughout the book are spelled wrong and sometimes make no sense. It was clearly not edited at all and appears just slapped together. It seems rather unfair and unrealistic to charge people for something like this.

I cannot recommend this book to anyone. If you happen to acquire a copy of it by mistake, I suggest giving it to a small child who cannot read yet. The designs are more suitable for toddlers than adults. Only they may be able to get some use out of this book.

I love adult colouring books and am always on the lookout for new ones, but I'm glad I read your review of this one. I like the idea of positive and motivational quotes being included, but the mistakes in spelling indicate sloppiness and lack of thought. Thanks for taking one for the team and trying this book out, glad I stumbled upon this review.

Very unfortunate that the book gets this rating. This brings no interest to read the book. Thanks for warning us in advance.

It's obvious the author did not do a good job with the book. It would have made a wonderful book, some sort of relief to adults. I hope the author can do better. Thanks for the apt review.

Colouring book is a thing for kids. I was inquisitive to know how an adult would use a colouring book. That is why I had to come check out. It is a good book for leisure time.
