Snatched up to Heaven! is a delightful Christian book, written by Jemima Paul, PhD. in Christian Education and her husband Arvind Paul. Both native of Chennai, in southern India, they got married and moved to Los Angeles, California, were they formed a happy family blessed at the time the book was written, with two daughters: Priyanka and Deepika.

This non-fiction story begins on May 2011, one morning when Priyanka, by the time of 4 years old, told her mother:" I had a dream about heaven!" Very soon her sister Deepika, of 2 years old by that time, also claimed to have been there. Each chapter of the book it's about a different aspect of heaven, treated in a simple language, childish, adapted to the mentality of children, about the things they matter, like feeding animals, wearing beautiful dresses and tiaras, and touring beautiful places, but always centered in the most important thing in their lives, which is their love for Jesus and God. I loved the relaxed and natural way in which Jesus relates to these little girls and how they're capable to express very deep truths of eternal things, without losing their happiness. In the book, these little girls also visited hell, " they went very well hidden by Jesus ", where they saw the just amount of sadness and despair, that two little children can afford without damage to their emotional health. I was also enriched by the section "my interpretation " where Jemima, talking as a loving mother, relates each dream of her little ones, comparing them with the only proven infallible source that is the eternal Word of God, and giving us ,at least one verse of the Bible that confirmed what her children saw. As she says, she expects that every reader will form his own conclusions based on the Holy Word.

This book has many positive aspects, and I'll try to number some of them. A little jewel of less than 100 pages, is like an onion of several layers. You can use it as a bedtime story for your kids, reading them only the "kids visions". More grown kids can begin to learn the Bible verses in each chapter. A non-believer can read easily the girls dreams and be touched by the Presence of God that permeates its pages. Mature christians can enjoy reading the testimonies and renew their faith. I loved the Youtube vídeos on Appendix A and I could notice that, even their low age, both Priyanka and Deepika were very clever and smart children, capable to express their thoughts.

To some people, not used to read the Bible, the "mom's interpretation " reading may be tiring, if they're not in good mood, but I consider it's essential for understand the purpose of this book, that is in last instance: winning souls for Jesus!

My rating for this book is
4 out of 4 stars due to all the reasons explained above.

I recommend this book not only for Christians, but for anybody who wants a book that speaks about God's love and care for us, and the touching story of a family that love each other very much.
Snatched up to Heaven! can also be an excellent option for somebody searching for a gift book. Enjoy it!
