Smart Love is a quasi-fictional novel by Vincent Fudge II. It is intended to educate readers about the improvement of romantic relationships. This book focuses on emphasizing better communication techniques and establishing healthy behavior with your partner. It is written with flashbacks of incidents that led the author to the current situation.

The author has done an excellent job by presenting the events between his wife and him in a neutral manner, thus allowing the readers to see the true side of the story. “The SMART Love project” is designed to talk through the vision of each partner and how the other one perceives it--ultimately supporting each other to achieve the intended goals.

Some notions in the book make me admire the author more, he always kept the children at the center point. Parenting is something that both parents are good at. This book is eye-opening for couples who think they have got it all right as it suggests the importance of seeking assistance when required. A quote from the book by Joyce Meyer that I loved is “You can not have a positive life and a negative mind.”In my opinion happily ever after isn’t something to pursue as soon as we find a partner because Smart Love is a process and not a feeling. This book has conveyed that message well.

Notably, there is nothing that I disliked about this book. It highlights the realistic aspects of a relationship. Life isn’t a fairytale and your relationship is definitely not a Disney movie, in reality, you are going to face fights and arguments with your partner but everything is tackled if both are willing to communicate and act accordingly. I find some of the legal aspects mentioned in the book to be complicated, which might be simple for other readers.

I give Smart Love a 4 out of 4 star rating, as I undoubtedly find it educational for all the couples out there. I did not find any grammatical errors, so it seems to be exceptionally well edited. One thing I would like to highlight is that the book contains certain profane language. This book is intended for partners who have truly invested in the marriage over the years and intends to solve a dispute or miscommunication. This book would also work for newly married couples who want to avoid misunderstandings and immature disputes. If you are more into casual relationships, you can skip this one.

Well said Humera955. Thanks for a great review, you've explained the essential details about this book and expressed your opinion honestly. It was brave of the author to disclose issues from his own relationship but that adds authenticity.

What a great review. I read this book and I was amazed at the love he had for his children. Parents should always consider their children before they separate.
