The First Time Father: THE EXPECTANT SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR FIRST-TIME
DADS THROUGH PREGNANCY JOURNEY
is one of three books on fatherhood that Alfie Thomas wrote. One of the earlier two publications concentrated on a baby’s first year, and the other book offered a guide for fathers on pregnancy. This one looks to be a concise writing that gives husbands guidance throughout his partner’s pregnancy and into the child’s early years.

Alfie Thomas divided this work into three main sections. The focus of the first section was the wife's pregnancy. Alfie spends some time in this section explaining the basics of pregnancy. He forewarns and provides useful information that helps the husband get ready. Alfie describes the varied emotions and sentiments that pregnant women experience during each trimester. Trimesters are sets of months which separate the 40 weeks of the pregnancy into three main time periods. There are all the methods a father might possibly need to establish a close bond with his newborn infant in the next section. The final section mostly focuses on how a father can guide his child to ease into a new life.

This book struck me as valuable and intriguing for new fathers. It goes without saying that the mother is the primary focus of practically all pregnancy guidance and information. Most newlywed men will find this to be frustrating. And I believe that this book is quite important at a time when first-time fathers are in such need. This book is full of information about pregnancy that is mysterious to men.

This book’s personal taste is its most significant characteristic. Instead of presenting it as a scientific analysis from an expert, the author has smartly crafted it to be read like advice from a close friend. The author offered many sincere suggestions based on his and his partner’s experiences. This amazing book also includes true stories from parents, such as how Alfie felt being with his wife as she gave birth to their first child.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. Throughout my reading, I detected no typos or grammatical errors. The book was expertly edited. For these reasons I rate The First Time Father 4 out of 4. Every man who wants to be a better father and a wonderful partner should read this book. This book may make your early family troubles much simpler, especially if you are a new husband or first-time father. Even if you have been a father for some years, I hope you will get a few things to improve in your fatherhood experience by reading this book.

No one expects that the husband needs advices concerning wife's pregnancy. This is a unique view. And this was an excellent review. I enjoyed reading it.
