There are tons of memoirs that talk about what great leaders have accomplished, and the book titled, A Dream for Peace, by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, is among those. This novel is about the author's life experiences. Dr. Ghoulem was born in a small village to a humble family. He was a very bright student, and as a result, he was given a scholarship to further his education in France. It was there that he joined a political movement that aimed to eradicate all forms of oppression. When he joined this movement, it made the government of France keep an eye on him. While in Spain, he continued his activism, which led to his arrest. After he was released, he traveled to other parts of the world and spread his teaching.

What I like about this novel is how Dr. Ghoulem didn't give up despite the danger he faced. He preferred the people even more than his own life. His aim is to fight against injustice done to people. He isn't biased since he did not just fight against oppression from his own countrymen but all other people in different parts of the world. He played a role in putting an end to the war against the Israelites and Palestinians. Other than that, he provided guidance to one of the African presidents. He is a guy of tremendous honor who was destined to lead the masses. If he were elected president of my nation, Nigeria, I believe he would aid in the abolition of corruption and tribalism, which are two major challenges threatening the country's economy.

There isn't anything I dislike about the text. If I am to come up with anyone, I will say it too long. It being too long made it tiresome to read since I am a lazy reader, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the story.

In conclusion, I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. Nothing will even make me deduct one star. The reason is that the text contains various educational content, which helps me a lot. The novel is professionally well-edited, which is another reason it deserves four stars.

The book doesn't have any elements of sex or abusive language. I would recommend it to history students who want to learn about the political history of Algeria and its neighboring countries in the 19s. Those who enjoy nonfictional stories and memoirs can also read it.
