Review of The Book on the Shelf of Love

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "The Book on the Shelf of Love" by M V Tuck.]
The Book on the Shelf of Love is a Christian literature by M.V Tuck. Christianity which is one of the oldest religions in the works today, has received backlash and is being forced to compromise in most ways. M. V. Tuck, who seemingly has a great passion for teaching and disseminating only the right gospel in his book, talks about life as a Christian, its ups and downs, as well as the evil that can be found in the church in recent years.
The author, in his book, describes the folly of changing the works of a person to suit your personal state. According to the book, the Christian Bible has been mutilated and abridged in the past many years, all in a bid to end up with a version that would serve better. The author also talks about the importance of works despite the saving quality of grace and also the need to obey the law since Christ did not come to abolish the law. One of the many evils which have been introduced to the church, the principle of eternal salvation, has caused men to end up in the wrong place due to receiving and holding steadfastly to the wrong doctrines.
The book was not particularly an excellent read for me; there were a few things I disliked in the book. First, the author's choice of words created a feeling of poetry at some point. There were rhymes, and I did find them unnecessary and annoying. Again, the author, despite naming chapters specifically, did not write specifically in each chapter. Most chapters had a jumble of ideas; each developed very slightly before jumping to the next. In chapter 4, for instance, the author moved from writing about converts to law and grace and self, and each of these ideas was not properly connected to each other.
I did really like how the author weaved Bible verses into his writings and created a seamless flow between the idea being created and the supporting Bible verse. I also liked how the book had something for every Christian at each stage of faith, from the new convert to the old Christian and even to the leaders.
I give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. I deducted a star because of the negative aspects mentioned above. However, I did not rate it lower because the book was really informative, and even though it is not personally a favourite, it might be pleasing to others.
I would recommend this book to any person who wants to learn more about Christianity. It would also be very useful to any Christian who wants to develop their faith.
