Has it ever felt like everything is going awry at the same time? Meth Murder & Amazon by G.S. Gerry tells the satirical tale of Mr. Grake and the rollercoaster journey he survives in getting his house on the market.

It was an ordinary day in May when the Grakes decided to put their house, Hershey Squirtel Lane, in order and on the market. Mr. Grake contacts Agent Caffwe of Katcher Wilson and enters a seller’s agreement. However, Caffwe proves no good, and Mr. Drake switches lanes to Caffwe’s assistant, Dawbee. Dawbee plays coy and invites Mr. Drake to join her company, Slashosaurus Max. As time unfolds, Dawbee proves to be of no good either by messing up the day of the open house with her fellow henchman and accusing Mr. Grake of cooking meth. Mr. Grake terminates his contract and carefully looks for better agents. He was rewarded with Glove and Special K. Things begin looking up, and an act of revenge by Mr. Grake nearly sends everything careening backward. Faced with an ailing mother, a pending relocation, and an unsold house, would Mr. Grake finally figure everything out? Read to find out more.

Gerry employs a unique style in unfolding the throes of Mr. Grake’s woes. The book is saturated with humor and an intriguing depth of suspense. The beginning was slow and confusing due to the writing style involved. But as the book progressed, the narration became more straightforward and enjoyable. The author also used pictures to illustrate some scenes’ contents. The book might mislead you if you are looking for an action-packed crime thriller due to the intriguing title. The book contains more of a horrible family situation. It is written with satire which gives an enjoyable and unique read.

I think it is interesting that the contents of this story are based on true-life events. I found this book quite hilarious and refreshing to read. The characters were impressionable and vivid in the description. The satirical names used by the author to describe the character’s personality were quite fitting. I enjoyed the suspense and the anticipation of what each day brought to Grake. The book is also devoid of grammatical and punctuation errors.

However, there are certain things I dislike about the book. The storyline was hard to keep up with as the narration involved a lot of satirical terms that were quite far-fetched to the situation and difficult to understand. For example, Mr. Grake’s mother had jelly bean disease. I have researched and come up with multiple results of what that could mean. It would be better if the author left a glossary at the end of the book. Also, the book was not aligned, as sentences and paragraphs appeared patched and rushed. For these reasons, I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to fans of comedy and thriller. I also recommend it to readers who want a good laugh.

The book is saturated with humor and an intriguing depth of suspense.

The book does seem to be amusing and bizarre. The true life events it's based on must have felt surreal. I agree with you about the satirical names, the author must have had fun creating them. It's a good review, I enjoyed your description of the story and your candid opinion. Thank you peace_m.

Though I like to read satires, but from the review, it seems that this one needs a lot of improvement. The storyline seems to be confusing and the title is quite unusual. Thanks for the honest review.
