Windowsill Orchid Growing by Susan Makar is a fantastic guide to follow if you are an enthusiastic plant grower who struggle to grow orchids indoors. In this manual Susan proves that you do not need to be a greenthumb in order to successfully grow your own orchids indoors - all you need to do is follow the steps precisely and you will have beautiful orchids. This handbook contains all the information you would need to make sure that your plants are happy and healthy, from choosing what orchid to buy for your home to fertilizing and watering. There is a section dedicated to every important aspect of orchid growing in Windowsill Orchid Growing , making it the perfect guide for orchid growers. In the book, Susan gives lots of helpful tips that would help you to have beautiful blooms no matter how much gardening experience you have.

I really appreciate the fact that Susan takes into consideration that all of us start at the bottom and then slowly work ourselves up. This book contains tips for new orchid growers as well as experienced gardeners looking for a challenge. If you read the whole guide and follow all the steps, you will almost definitely be successful in your growing journey. This book covers everything that your orchids could possibly need and even tips on how to read your plant. This wonderfully written guide is super user-friendly as the chapters do not necessarily have to be read in order. If you are only looking for advice on a certain aspect of growing orchids, you can just take a look at the index and find what you are looking for effortlessly. The book is written excellently and it is very easy to understand, even if you are not an experienced gardener. This book does not only focus on making your plant survive, it focuses on thriving and longevity.

I did experience that some of the phrases used in the book can be very repetitive, however this can just be the author's way to emphasize these phrases and indicate the importance of following the specific step.

I give Windowsill Orchid Growing a rating of 4 out of 4 stars since I believe that it is very well written and contains all the information needed to grow vibrant and breathtaking orchids in your home.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes gardening. It would be a great guide even if you are new to gardening and you are interested in growing your own orchids indoors. This book is suited for anyone from beginner to greenthumb.
