The hometown of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah cannot support his lofty aspirations. So began his journey of achievement and liberation. In Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's well-written autobiography, set in the 1950s, A Dream for Peace, takes readers through the author's life story. In-depth information about Algeria's fight for independence from its French colonisers is provided in this book. There are seventeen chapters and a total of 644 pages in this book.

Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was born during the French colonial administration in Ain Beida, Algeria's north-eastern region. His mother raised him on her own when his father passed away; he was the son of a silversmith. He was offered the chance to continue his education in France on a scholarship as a result of his potential. During his school years, he became more involved in politics and improved his skills. He took part in a number of cross-border peace negotiations after graduating. Later in life, he was recognised by an Ivorian President, who granted him Ivorian citizenship and a diplomatic position in the country. This book discusses family life, battles, fatalities, bravery, patriotism, sacrifice, and heroism of some Algerians and inhabitants of other African countries in the fight for liberation. The narration is provided by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, who discusses his part in helping to free mankind from oppression.

The novel manages to maintain the reader's interest throughout, despite being incredibly long. The author used visual evidence of events, research papers, and certifications to underline the veracity of his experiences and accomplishments by painting a thorough and pertinent picture of those occurrences. This made reading more enjoyable. The author exhibits excellent leadership abilities throughout the entire book. Because of his background and the racism he encountered, I admire the author for not allowing himself to become smaller. The characters mentioned in the novel were also well-developed, which helped to bring the historical narrator to life. The theme of religious diversity and familial acceptance separated by the clutches of politics was awe-inspiring to read.

Since every page of the book is captivating and inspiring, you won't be able to find any flaws in it. Particularly intriguing was the way this book was structured. The writing is straightforward and tidy, albeit a little dated. There is absolutely no profanity or sexual content in this work. It is safe to conclude that, despite being very long, this book has a lot of good qualities.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book is straightforwardly honest and well-written. There were no grammatical errors in this book, which shows it was professionally edited.

I'd recommend this book to readers interested in learning in-depth about freedom fighters.

You gotta love how Dr. Berrah's concern for peace and peaceful coexistence among nations originated from an inner feeling of love for everyone regardless of their race, cultures or religion. Incredible review.
