A dream for peace is a book by Dr Ghoulem Berrah. Dr Berrah was born in Ain Beida, a small town in the province of Constantine at the foot of the Aures mountains, in northern Algeria. At that time, his Algerian government had been taken over by France and made a part of the French mainland. The government was divided into three departments- Algiers was in the central department, Oran in the west department and Constantine was in the eastern department. Mr Berrah studied in Algeria before getting the scholarship to study in France as a doctor.

Mr Berrah left the shores of his native Algeria as a young man to pursue studies in France but his heart was not at ease at all. His mind was set on returning home after his studies to help his people liberate their country from the French colonial rule. He had lived and experienced the French oppression but never had he accepted the policy and the leadership of the French. He wanted to take part in revolutionising his government from the French people and their oppressive rules. He believed that his mission was ordained by a higher power to help release his people from colonialism. That made him refuse to bow to any system of oppression imposed by the French.

Dr Berrah did a good job as a steward for peace and from his sincerity, he empowered many men to strive and reach their full potential by working hard. He did his very best by promoting peace to different people of different faiths and beliefs. Dr Berrah also took part in the pursuit of Afro-Arab harmony and many other different organisations for peacemaking. It was easier for him to befriend many people due to his sincere, noble and witty personality.

I like how the book has a vivid flow and explanations of how the events were happening. It makes the person reading want to know more about the events. The book is exemplary written and I found nothing negative about the book while reading it. my rating for the book is 4 out of 4. The book has no strong sexual events happening so I would recommend it to anybody willing to get enlightened about history.
