Smart Love by Vincent Fudge II is a unique take on issues affecting marriages. Our author and his wife are facing problems in their marriage and are on the verge of separation. This is not the first time they have faced a similar issue in their relationship. They realize that before they take the step to end things, they first go through a self-designed therapy program to try to fix their marriage. The smart love project was a way of breaking down their differences into the simplest of forms to try to resolve their misunderstandings. To achieve this, they decided to air all their differences when they were both clear-headed. Every person's point of view on the matter is addressed in hopes of coming up with a fair and sane solution to every disagreement.

The author did an outstanding job in writing his story. It was well-balanced and highlighted each person's flaws and weaknesses. He talks about how domestic violence, trust, and suspensions of infidelity affect their marriage. His venerability is evident in all his revelations. He discusses and accepts his wrongs and the things he thinks he can do better to prevent those mistakes from happening again.

This story contains relationship-related triggers and sensitive issues that have been experienced by most people. Therefore, I would not recommend it to sensitive readers that have gone through abusive or toxic relationships. The first section was too technical and felt like an academic read. This confused me because I expected this book to be about the couple's emotional journey. Fortunately, the author did not let me down. The rest of the book was what I was anticipating, an emotional tale about their marriage struggles.

I liked how the author arranged this book, the structure was consistent and easy to follow. I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors in this book, but the book does contain vulgar language. Furthermore, I appreciated the work that the author put into this book. It is very brave of the author to acknowledge his wrongs and let people read about his struggles. I give this book a 4 out of 4 stars rating.

Divorce is a prevailing issue in our society today, and it is good to read a book that discusses this matter in depth. I would recommend this book to couples that wish to get married. I would advise them to read this book together, to air out any lingering problems before they make that final commitment. Married couples need to read this book because most issues that break up marriages stem from arguments that can be fixed with just a simple talk. This book is also good for couples facing issues in their relationships. The project can help you find the root cause of these difficulties and how to find the solution in a more civilized way.
