Nowadays, many teachers lack enough tolerance for their students. They believe their sole aim is to educate. They fail to see that for students, especially young ones, to reach their full potential, they must be guided and motivated consistently. The author is a perfect example of an excellent teacher. He understood each of his pupils’ personalities and tried to bring out the best in them.

In Memories from My Classroom, Mr. Redd, a retired elementary school teacher, recalls his fondest memories of his pupils. He defined each person’s unique personality, weaknesses, and talents. He provided them with the opportunity to realize their full potential. He also shared with the readers what a big influence his students had on him. The author’s ability to relate well with each of his pupils was praiseworthy. It showed the level of concern he had for his pupils.

There were a lot of things I enjoyed about this book. First of all, it was easy to read because of the author’s clear writing style. Also, each chapter in the book focused on a particular pupil and what the author found interesting about him or her. At the end of each chapter, he added a picture of the pupil he talked about in that chapter. This made the book more engaging. I admired the strong connection the author had with his students. He was aware of their weaknesses and how to deal with each of them. He discussed a few amusing memories he had with them. The author strived to have a positive influence on each child to bring out the best in them.

The title given to each chapter was the only aspect of this book I didn’t appreciate. It doesn’t quite match what was being talked about It would have been better if the title of each chapter was the name of the pupil being talked about. This book is a quick and enjoyable read. It seems exceptionally well-edited, as I found no errors while reading. I cheerfully rate Memories from My Classroom by Mr. Redd 4 out of 4 stars.

Honestly, I have a lot of admiration for the author. This book shows how committed he was to his work. He had a deep concern for all his students and tried his best to be an inspiring teacher. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a quick and engaging read, especially teachers who would like to have an insight into better ways to handle their students.
