Review of Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition)
Peter Liptak curated a list of over three hundred idioms. He then wrote down their meaning and examples. He also drew pictures to illustrate them. He went even further and arranged them under themes and provided exercises at the end of every thematic chapter to test people's understanding. To cap everything off, he translated all that he had written into Chinese and put all of those things into a book which he titled Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition). This book will then go on to become a valuable addition to the literary world as it not only entertains its readers (in a way) but also teaches them a skill they will most likely not learn anywhere outside of a classroom. That skill is the ability to use idioms the right way.
Firstly, I liked the name of this book. The first two words in the title, Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition), suggest that it is best to attack and tackle idioms before they attack you. This means that it is best to learn the fundamentals of idiomatic expressions before venturing into the world and becoming embarrassed when they fail to understand what people (who use those expressions) are saying. Now that I have given my two cents on what the name of this book implies to me, I will go straight ahead and say that I liked everything I saw in it. Peter Liptak is a natural teacher who has proven to the world that he is worth his salt. He did an excellent job in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition).
What I really liked the most was the simple approach to teaching that Peter Liptak employed in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition). He translated the book's content from English to Chinese and provided questions and answers for his readers' benefit. He organized every idiom into themes. There were a total of 25 themes in the book. Some were: morning, afternoon, evening, etc. All of these made comprehending the content of Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition) relatively easy.
Peter Liptak and his team edited Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition) flawlessly. This is to say that they got rid of every error in the book before publishing it. I liked the dedication to perfection. This shows the world that Peter Liptak gives nothing but the best. Now, I did not dislike even one thing about Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition).
4 out of 4 stars is the rating that I believe Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition) should get. It taught me a lot, and I loved everything I saw in it. That is the main reason for this rating. I recommend this to people who want to learn and understand English idioms that have been used for hundreds of years. It is really easy to understand.
