Scarback by Roger Corea is a non-fictional novel about Dominic. Dominic was born with a condition, but his friends, who became his new family, helped him live a normal life. Read on to find out more about Dominic.

Dominic was born with brain damage called hypoxia and suffered from Down syndrome. However, Dominic was a sweetheart who helped the community and was even awarded an honorary award. His friends, Augie and Carl, always had his back against bullies like Killy and Baco. Dominic never knew his parents and was always sad about this. He still had nightmares about the orphanage where his mother abandoned him as a child before Albert picked him up. Albert took care of him and gave him a job. Augie invited Dominic on an annual fishing trip, which he and his brother always had. Dominic agreed after much persuasion. On this trip, a lot of mysteries were unraveled. Dominic got to find out who his true parents were. One would never guess who they were until they'd read this book.

Firstly, this book was lovely and very interesting to read. Every moment and scene had an important role to play in the plot of this story. The storyline was wonderful. There were a lot of shocking and surprising moments. One could never guess what would happen next. A lot could be learnt about fishing by reading this book. This book depicts the true meaning of friendship. The relationship between Dominic and Augie was admirable. Augie always had his back. He was ready to fight for Dominic and prevent bullies from bullying him.

The characters in this book were lovely and perfectly organized to play their different roles. They developed perfectly and were well inter-related. My favorite character was Dominic. He was kind, loving, and funny. In fact, he was a sweetheart. He could make someone who is sad laugh away their sorrows. The scenes where he called three people a pair were always hilarious. Augie also knew how to play along with his jokes.

The scene where Augie gives his cherished dollar bills to a homeless and hungry man was my favorite. His reply to Roger, who asked him why he gave his money to the man, was amazing. It was so emotional that I almost cried while reading that part. This book also showed that everyone had a soft spot. I could never imagine Danny being good, but he showed another side of him which I admired.

It is really hard to dislike anything in this book. However, I found a few punctuation errors and the pages were not well organized. Aside from this, it was perfect. I am gladly rating this book 4 out of 4 stars because it was enjoyable and interesting.

This book was professionally edited. It did contain errors, but these errors didn't affect my flow while reading this book. It contained some profane words, and children shouldn't be allowed to read it. I recommend this book to people who love to read about friendship. People who love to read about fishing will enjoy this book too.

I appreciate how Augie and Carl helped and supported Dominic. People with disabilities need and deserve all the love and care we can give. Why should they be bullied for things they cannot control?

The brain is one of the most important of the body, but it is also fragile. To suffer from hypoxia feels like hell, and od love to know what Dominic's life felt like. Thanks for your honest review.
