Review of When No One Else Believed
[Following is a volunteer review of "When No One Else Believed" by Ron Tripodo.]
When No One Believed, written by Ron Tripodo, is a true supernatural story of the heavenly kind. The story of an ordinary man who asked God to bless him with a miracle, and God answered. The miracle changed not only his life but the lives of his family and others forever. This is also an inspirational story of healing and perseverance but more than this, a story of love, faith, forgiveness, and gratitude. One does not need to be a Christian to receive help from this incredible story. All one needs is an open heart and mind. The rest will happen naturally.
The book is easy to read. However, once you begin reading, you will not be able to put the book down. The text reads like a leisurely conversation between two people over a cup of coffee, listening to each other's tribulations and triumphs. In addition, what gives this story extraordinary depth and structure is what award-winning movie directors use, flashbacks. The flashbacks are essential in the book because they give readers background information necessary for character understanding of temperament, personality, and history. The author also makes picturesque use of similes and metaphors to describe his myriad of feelings about God, his wife, and himself as he recalls memories and spiritual awakenings.
I also enjoyed this book because it is easy to understand, uplifting, and inspiring. The only negative about this book is that I wished it had a chapter or two on the magnificent work the author and his family are doing to help the homeless in their community. Otherwise, I recommend this book for readers who are caring for loved ones and need spiritual uplifting and encouragement or anyone who needs to know how to put their trust in God. This book reminds all of us that we are never alone. God is always nearby. We must ask for help through prayer and have steadfast faith in His works.
Although published books with similar themes exist, this story is different. This book stands out because the story speaks about trusting God. Faith in God has begun to erode in recent times for countless reasons. This book exemplifies how one man asks God for a gift of healing and how he listened and kept his faith through prayer and praise. He never gave up when well-meaning doctors, family members, and others thought otherwise. The author's journey was not easy, but he learned the true meaning of having faith in God by not relying on his understanding of time and place. This story touched and changed lives and continues to do so because of faith and trust in God's work.
This book is a worthwhile read and a welcomed addition to anyone's library. I, therefore, rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it is not only well-written but meticulously edited.
