Planning for the future is a great way to live peacefully in the present. That is the crux of the book Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer. The book is a great attempt to teach readers about the benefits of financial planning. The author has divided the book into 13 chapters. Each chapter is filled with a plethora of information about different topics. The use of captivating examples to explain simple points is something that makes the book a worthy read. The author has provided information about many financial instruments. The key focus is on financial planning for the elderly.

The biggest strength of the book is the writing style. The author provides useful financial information in an appealing manner. The ways through which money can be saved for retirement have been explained in exquisite detail. Another key factor that makes the book worth reading is the use of statistics to prove a point. Using real-life data and stats to prove the accuracy of the statements is something that makes the reading experience even more enthralling. Readers will be able to imbibe many amazing life lessons when it comes to retirement planning.

I genuinely couldn’t find a single negative aspect of the book. The book is crisp and concise. It offers many practical solutions so that the readers can avoid any kind of financial trap when they enter their twilight years. This book has been phenomenally edited. Every chapter is short and to the point. This also means that you cannot just skim through the book. Readers would need to analyze and assess every point made in the book. The author has left no stone unturned in making sure that all the vital information related to financial planning is available to readers. It is the job of the readers to maximize their gains as they go through this book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book has something for everyone. It moves forward at a brisk pace. The tiny columns in the middle of every chapter act as a cherry on top of the cake. The simple language and captivating writing style will make it easy for beginners to get hold of the concepts of financial planning.

I recommend it to everyone who wants to understand the way financial planning works. The book is targeted toward the elderly. But individuals of every age group would benefit from this amazing book.
