Reconfigurement by E.Alan Fleischauer is a non-fiction novel that tells us about planning oneself financially to brace for the future. I received an epub format book containing 236 pages.

Reconfigurement is a turning point. For it to happen, one should have an income. From there, one can think of what to do with the income. Alan goes into detail in every chapter, talking about investments, career plans, social security, treasury bonds, and pension plans, to name but a few. He then goes ahead to say that in all situations, no matter how they appear, they have the potential for good.

Dealing with numbers can be boring or brain-numbing, as the author states, but he has used jokes to keep you going and break the monotony. One should worry no more, as this will keep you alert. Moreover, the simplicity of the explanation allows one to easily read and follow through to the end.

The best thing about this book is how each topic is divided into chapters, allowing the author to go into detail about every plan one should have in life. He has also backed his discussions with relevant research data. He has also given websites and references should one want more. This has a great impact on the reader since one can make an evidence-based decision to reconfigure his or her life.

As I started reading the book, I could not easily tell that the book would end by explaining the financial and career plans. Alan has used relevant stories to capture the full attention of the reader. It was an eye-opener and made me ponder my life and the decisions that I have made. If you are looking for something that will make you judge yourself over the decisions you have made, then this is the book for you as you will be sure to yearn to make changes.

The book will solely benefit the residents and citizens of the United States. The author is from Minnesota and talks about social security benefits, amongst others, that are offered in the United States. Different countries have different financial programs and systems. Other than this, I find no other shortcomings.

I will rate this book four out of four stars as it has been exceptionally edited and addresses in great detail the questions normally asked about career plans, financial plans, healthcare plans, and long-term care plans, to name but a few.

I recommend this book to anyone looking to have a turning point in their life, no matter their age.
