A Dream For Peace by Ghoulem Berrah is an autobiography of a diplomatic person who has an amazing goal in his life.

Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was born in Alegria. In the first part of the book, he described his surroundings when he was young; what kind of family he came from, some cultures he grew up in, and how harmonious families are in his hometown. He was a medical student. While he was in college, he aimed to achieve the independence of Alegria from France. But this is not where he stopped from achieving peace. He dreamed more than the independence of his country. He wanted to achieve world peace. That's why when President Houphouët Boigny of Côte d'Ivoire offered him to be his diplomatic adviser, he accepted it without a doubt. He included in this book how the world shaped him into how he was today. This book is his life story. A life story that would inspire us to be a better version of ourselves to be more functional in our society.

"I was born into a humble but strong and very proud family." Berrah reiterates this phrase often as he introduce his family. As he further explain it, I understood that he really is from a "humble but strong" family. Both of his parents are from two different tribes. He justified in his explanation of both tribes and he also showed that he really came from a wonderful family.

The book was written in a formal tone. He often uses big words in this book, so reading this book not only taught me about Berrah's amazing life but also introduced me to new words. But sometimes, when I can't relate an unfamiliar word to its context, I have to use a dictionary to understand it.

Berrah is a Muslim. But he shared in this book that he married a Christian. He also mentions things about religion and such. This factor might be disturbing for others, so consider yourself forewarned. But it is not that frequent, and I believe that this book could still be read by people who are not into religious books.

I found nothing that would make me dislike this book. The flow of the events is flawless. I can really say that it is professionally written and edited well because I didn't find any errors. There is no reason to deduct any stars from this book. So I give this book a complete rating of four out of four stars.

I recommend this book to people who also want to pursue world peace, just like the author. This book is also recommended to readers who are fond of reading memoirs of successful personalities.

There's not many people who would have such big dreams while studying in medical school. He seems commendable for acting on it. He seems to have quite impressive views. Thanks for the wonderful review!

This is a very interesting book of a man's search of peace, with hope, in a world where there seems to be no total peace. There are many beautiful parts of this book I enjoyed and I'm glad to see a review nicely done for it.
