Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a self-help book that covers various important topics, such as how to plan ahead and how to avoid setbacks. It gives detailed explanations of how you can prepare for retirement. It also counsels you on what direction to take depending on your finances and what you want to spend your retirement years doing.
There were various things that I liked about this book. Firstly, this book covers some topics that most people would find boring, yet I found the book to be quite engaging. This is because of the jokes that the author threw in sometimes. There was only one error, which did not interrupt my reading experience. I will admit that some terms used were difficult to understand; however, the author explained all the terms using a conversational tone and simple language. Because of the language used by the author, I never got confused. In fact, reading this book felt as though I was having an enlightening conversation with a friend. I admire the amount of work the author put into his research for this book; sometimes, he even cited his sources. He also used examples to back up his points sometimes, and I appreciated this; the examples given made things, like how much money people spend on useless things, come into focus.
There was nothing that I disliked about this book. On the contrary, I liked it quite a lot. It was edited very well and contained only one typographical error. I can conclude that the time I spent reading this book was time well spent.
All in all, I rate this book four out of four stars. This is because it was very enlightening, I learned quite a lot from it, and it made me start thinking about planning for the future; it also provided me with the knowledge that I will need to do so.
I recommend this book to people up to thirty years that live in America. This book mainly focuses on retirement, and people that are only thirty probably aren’t thinking of retirement, but they should be; that is because it is always easier to start planning for the future sooner rather than later. I recommended the book to only people that live in America because the author based all of his research on American laws, so people that don't live in America might not find this book useful.
