Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement, a nonfiction book by E. Alan Fleischauer, is all about preparation. The goal of Alan's book is to inform readers about the importance of having a sound retirement strategy in place before they retire. The emphasis of the book is on organising your finances so that you can enjoy them in retirement. Alan covers the fundamentals of retirement planning as well as life reconfiguration and how to lead a comfortable life after retirement. The topic of insurance is covered in the book, including life insurance, disability insurance, and others. The author also touches on budgeting and career evaluation. As the author repeatedly emphasises, Reconfigurement is all about planning ahead, just like cooking is all about pre-preparation.
The book Reconfigurement is instructive for readers in their 40s and 50s. The author outlines the value of retirement planning as well as how to do it. The book offers many innovative planning techniques in addition to conventional investing assets. For the sake of not intimidating the audience, the author writes in a conversational tone. I feel as though I am speaking with the author directly. His method of explaining this important subject to us is approachable and clear.
The entire book is filled with wonderful things. This book offers so much to appreciate and discover. I found the author's thorough research to be particularly impressive in support of his assertions. His arguments are consistently well-reasoned and supported by reliable sources, which lends great credibility to the work.
I also value the author's humorous approach to presenting a somewhat dull subject. Alan walks you through the process of setting up your retirement plan step-by-step utilising tools like retirement planning software. The need of having a workable retirement plan is emphasised throughout the book with the help of numerous real-world examples.
This book has nothing to be disliked. It has excellent editing. While reading, I didn't come across any mistakes. I also appreciated the author's inclusion of brief financial advice throughout the book. There is nothing bad about the book; overall, it is highly helpful.
I rate Reconfigurement 4 out of 4 stars. The book was a lot of fun to read. The author made an effort to write a book that was both engaging and simple to read. The humour at the end of each chapter made the topic enjoyable and lighthearted.
People who are beginning to prepare for their retirement should read this book, in my opinion. Anyone who wants to be ready for retirement should read it. It is especially advised for those in their 40s and 50s to read this. Even if you have retirement plans in place, this book may still contain some gold nuggets for you.
