Review of Reconfigurement
Planning ahead has always been my subject of interest, and it should be yours too! After you had planned ahead for your university, career, and marriage, didn't you think something was missing? In E. Alan Fleischauer's Reconfigurement you find out that, even though you might be quite young, you haven't planned enough for your retirement.
Reconfigurement, as the title says, is a book that starts with giving you a realistic view of what might happen to you if you don't start reconfiguring your life now! In this book, dear reader, you can finally stop looking at the so-called retirement age as a far away destination; plan for it now. If you reach a certain age that doesn't permit your body to do that much unprepared, well, there's a possibility you'll meet an unbearable amount of problems. Of course you don't wish to spend the rest of your life slumbering on an ancient sofa, especially when the lifespan of Americans -or most of the world in general- keeps remarkably increasing every now and then. So let's reconfigure your life with this short 150-page book! Whatever your age is, read this guide to a bunch of detailed instructions for planning ahead and learn all about insurances, policies, how to avoid future financial disasters… etc. I also guarantee you that the author tries his best not to bore you!
Well, I pretty much expected that I would enjoy this book, but did I expect that it to be so flawless, helpful, and catching? This was absolutely unpredictable. Yes, the subject of this book might seem dull and boring, but I assure you, E. Alan Fleischauer knows that and knows so well how to make you read through with interest, whether for the humor or the knowledge. Also, I've noticed the efforts the author has put into gathering up-to-date information. One more thing that I liked was how simple but detailed and organized the author has written the book; it was really admirable how the ideas didn't crowd but explained each other. And finally, the humor made the book enjoyable with all the information and knowledge that the reader had to understand; the author was writing in a way that made me feel as if he was talking to me rather than writing a book and publishing it, that was a positive aspect that you can barely find in any book in general. Again, that was a great book that should be a necessity for all of us to lead a smooth and great life even when we move on to a new sort of lifestyle -the lifestyle of growing older- and avoid any sort of disaster while we spend our time.
I really couldn't find a single aspect to dislike about this book; that was a smooth, well-written book that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Since I could find no more than two minor mistakes in this book and profanity that wasn't really severe, I rated it 4 out of 4 stars, although I think it deserves more!
Finally, this book is generally recommended to people approaching retirement, although I think it won't be any less interesting for younger ages such as thirty years old; the earlier the better!
