Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is simply a guide on retirement for everyone. There is a very popular poem known as "the panic" of growing old" where the poet talks about the sadness that sets when humans start growing older and climb higher on the age ladder. Those erstwhile beautiful faces start to develop wrinkles and the hairlines begin to recede.
This sadness is not just about the physical attributes of growing older. Most times, the real panic of growing old comes with the fear of responsibilities, especially financial ones. We do not just know that we will have to cater to our families, especially our children. We also know that they will be depending on us for at least the first thirty-five years of their lives and to crown it all, we know we won't be young and strong forever.
In this book, the author tries to prepare us for this critical time of our lives. It is said that anyone who fails to plan, plans to fail. This book is a handbook on retirement and how we can be set for it.

The book has many wonderful themes like planning, discipline, health, and even career choice because these are some of the little factors that determine how happy our endings will probably be.

The book had a lot of positive aspects and I particularly adored the way he wrote it like a conversation in some places. I also loved the way he used real examples to point out certain things.
His usage of simple English is also commendable because it made the book very easy to understand.
Moreover, books like this are usually boring but every iota of boredom was quickly eliminated with his superb use of humor.

The book had no negative aspects at all which is a testament to good editing.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I consider it a very helpful book for everyone who wants to have a happy and healthy retirement. I recommend it to every human being out there that does not want to retire with regrets.
