Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead is a 13-chaptered book that addresses the chasm between reality and tradition and provides answers to what is needed in planning ahead for retirement. You could be unsure about what path to choose, whether you are a young person just starting a new job or an older person trying to change careers and get ready for retirement. This book, Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, will guide you in making crucial choices that lead to a more contented life.
From this book, you will learn about income protection plans, individual disability insurance policies, all the other different types of insurance to look out for, methods of investment, and many other things. You will also learn that preparing for retirement is not age-bound. When it comes to planning for the future, no time is too early, and neither is any time too late. No matter their age, everyone must deal with retirement. Thus, it is always advantageous to be knowledgeable about these matters and prepare yourself.
I liked a lot of things about this book. First, I like the humor in the author's writing style. When E. Alan Fleischauer said (page 1), "We are told that 50 is the new 30 and 60 the new 40. Really? When did that happen? And how come my 64-year-old body reminds me daily that 64 feels like 65? I guess I didn't get the memo." I couldn't help but feel the lightness of his writing style. It made me relax and allow myself to be talked to by him. His writing style is inviting and conversational. It is so good that you can't help but listen. He is very accessible in his use of words. He even said that "free" was his favorite word. His choice of words is simple and easy to read. Considering what this book, Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, is about, I had expected it to be full of jargon and hard-to-understand terms. However, the author delivered his message using simple words and an oratory style, hence making this book easy to read for everyone. Another thing I liked about this book was the personality tests that the author provided and recommended. This book taught me (on page 6) that "all situations, no matter how terrible they appear on the surface, have within them the seeds and the potential for good."
The author did not fail to add jokes often throughout the book. Alan Fleischauer not only educated us but also entertained us. He has an incredible sense of humor. I honestly did not find any single thing to dislike about this book. Therefore, I will give it the 4 out of 4 stars it deserves.
Many people are doing jobs they don't enjoy because they need money to survive. They work so hard, with little time for themselves or their passion. Then, when they retire, they find out that they are lost and have nothing to live for the rest of their lives. As Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer addressed this issue, I would recommend this book to people with promising talents and hubbies who are looking for a career path where they can make money while also pursuing their real passion.
The book was exceptionally well edited, as I encountered no errors while reading it. Again, I had a lot of fun reading this book. It was easy to read despite being about retirement, insurance policies, finances, etc. This book greatly exceeded my expectations.
