Reconfigurement is a detailed self-help book that teaches the reader how to plan ahead of time to make life easier after retirement. E. Alan Fleischauer wrote this educational book.

This book is divided into thirteen chapters, and each chapter contains well-explained information on the topic. The author begins this book by explaining why he decided to write this book after conducting so much research and observations. The author goes on to explain why income and social security are essential components of a successful retirement plan. He also discusses career assessment, which helps to shape a person's personality traits. The author then goes on to persuade the reader of the importance of including life and health insurance in their retirement plan. Chapters seven, eight, and eleven discuss the importance of investing in mutual funds, having an individual retirement account, and the benefits of owning a property, respectively. In the final chapter, the author recommends a number of books on part-time or work-from-home jobs that retirees should pursue to avoid boredom, crime, and drug or alcohol addiction. This book is necessary in order to obtain all of the necessary information that the author was attempting to share based on his own experiences.

I'm glad I discovered this book at a young age. If there is one thing I enjoyed about this book, it was the knowledge I gained from it. I knew nothing about individual retirement accounts before reading this informative book, but it really broadened my knowledge and made me see the benefits and drawbacks of them. Did you know that individual retirement accounts have tax advantages? I appreciated how the author used examples and stories to keep the reader informed. The author's writing style was fantastic. It made reading the book easier, and he still tries to keep the reader engaged with humor. I appreciated the author's inclusion of websites that support his research and assist the reader in discovering some fascinating facts about the economic system.

Some economic statistics and concepts were a little confusing to me. I understand the author was attempting to back up his book with research and examples, but that didn't prevent me from finishing this informative book. I didn't dislike anything else about this book. The quotes, proverbs, and jokes in this book were fantastic. My favourite joke in this book is, "The only thing that travels faster than light is your weekend." My favorite quote is by Wiston Churchill, which quotes, “Broadly speaking, human beings may be divided into three classes: those who are toiled to death, those who are worried to death, and those who are bored to death.”

I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars because it's so educational. I discovered a few errors while reading this book. This demonstrates that it was professionally edited. I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading self-help books.

Retirement planning is not a one-time event but a continuous process that requires ongoing monitoring and adjustment.
