How well are you prepared for life after retirement? At what age will you retire? How is your country's life expectancy important in planning for your future? Is it prudent to continue to work after the age of 65? When you read Reconfigurement you will understand the gravity of these questions. The book majorly talks about planning, with an emphasis on life after retirement.

E. Alan Fleischauer, the author, is a financial planner and has over twenty years of experience in the finance industry. He gives intriguing insights into the things we tend to overlook. For instance, he informs us that life expectancy in the US has increased to the age of 79. People retire at the age of 65 and have not prepared for the many more years after retirement, keeping in mind that those are the years that come with a lot of medical challenges.

The book also talks about other factors in finance and investment. He touches on financial planning, life insurance, investment in bonds and securities, retirement plans, and health insurance. He backs up his literature with statistics and numerous references.

My biggest takeaway from the book is that one can reconfigure their life at any stage in life and plan. Reconfigurement is possible even at old age, especially given that wisdom comes with old age. The book is full of golden pearls and nuggets of wisdom, splashed with humor. The author writes with humor to make the book more enjoyable to read. There is no aspect of the book I disliked.

I recommend the book to those in finance and in corporate. It will prudent for those in the workforce to have a look at the book. The book was professionally edited. It is for these reasons I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars .
