Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement is an excellent book published this year 2022 by E. Alan Fleischauer. It is a book that teaches us much about planning ahead of time. It is centered mostly on retirement planning. What individuals should do in order not to have financial burdens after retiring from their jobs. The author took time to analyze different pathways people can take to overcome financial burdens in later years. The author explained the kinds of insurance, how it works and it's benefits. The author specifically pointed out about disability insurance which is essential and have about 90% of occurring but ignored by majority. He talked about career planning and even went ahead to include career planning aptitude test website in order to help the reader access the test and discover areas that he or she maybe suitable for. I personally took the test and discovered about eight different jobs am suitable for. I was surprised to discover I could make a good lawyer and manger. The author talked about shares, securities, stocks, investments and did a good job listing the pron and cons. I would say the book is a self-development book. It is wonderful, and I believe any human on earth should read this book. The book opened my eyes in areas involving insurance, career and investments.I didn't even know about things like spouse benefit insurance. I appreciate the author for writing this educative book in a short way; it is just 263 pages. Which made it easier for lazy readers.
I love the fact that the author included some jokes in the book in order to refresh the mind when it gets bored. Which was helpful because I found some parts really tiring. While reading I felt like I was with the author because of how book was written. He was able to breakdown some difficult subjects to the understanding of someone who doesn't know anything about finances.
Well, I think the only negative thing about the book is that it is not all that fun to read. It will require your patience and time to be able to scale through. You know what they say, "good things don't always come by easily." Just read this book, and I bet you it is worth the time and patience. However, as I mentioned earlier the author took time to add some humor to the book, which was helpful in reducing the amount of boredom the book would have contained. I think the book cover should be changed to something more captivating.
I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars because I was able to amass a wide range of knowledge from the book. The career aptitude test included was helpful to me, since I am about to go into college and need to make a career choice. I didn't notice any error in the book which means it was professionally edited.
I would have recommended this book only to people in their fifties and sixties who are about to retire. But I thought better of it. The book will be good for teenagers and young adults too. This is because the knowledge from the book will help them to be in a better position to plan ahead. Personally if I can start buying stocks, shares and be investing right now.I think I will be able to retire myself in my 40's and 50's and still be financially free.
