Review of Seeking... Finding... Healing...
“I was a thirty-two-year-old wife and mother of two young children, and in my second year of recovery from drugs, alcohol, and an eating addiction. I discovered how my old and immature beliefs about life had been fueling destructive emotions and behavior patterns, and how those dysfunctional patterns had been harming my young family and me.” This is how author Becky Lu Jackson introduces herself and her state of mind in the beginning of the book Seeking….Finding….Healing.
It was the year of 1976 when Becky stumbled upon the groundbreaking self healing technique through which she eradicated all her old immature beliefs and embarked upon a journey of self trust, compassion and love towards our younger self.
When we grow up, we unconsciously develop certain immature beliefs about how the world works and how we can survive. Author explains it is very important to peel off these old ideas and develop a solid trust in ourselves and the universe. It can be done through the creative visualization technique and guided step by step meditation provided in this book by Becky.
I appreciate the way Becky has put her own inspirational story in the book. This book is really a healing tool which will put one on a track to attain emotional, physical, mental, spiritual healthiness. I loved reading about inner family system and ways to understand, address and heal our own historical pains, regrets and resentments.
One fascinating fact that I cherished while reading the book is that, its very handy step by step guide to learn visualization for one who has never tried it before. One more interesting thing about the book is that it consists of inspiring stories and comments of people who tried inner family healing path. Book also consists additional dialogues which Becky had with her younger selves during visualization.
Other than that, I would give this book a perfect score. I could not find a single spelling mistake or a typing error in it. This book is very well edited. As a result, I give this book a perfect 4 out of 4 stars.
I personally recommend this book for the people who had very unpleasant memories in their past. It will serve and guide them to develop self trust and self respecting lifestyle. I honestly appreciate Becky who did an excellent job writing down her own story in the book and the noble job she had been doing by improving lives of so many people all the way long. I feel it is very important to learn to trust ourselves and understand our spiritual, emotional and physical self. And this book is for all those people who want to attain mental peace and emotional stability. It is truly a self healing book.
