Review of Reconfigurement
A book that sheds light on unexplored topics, Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer introduces a new retirement plan, discarding the traditional “number-oriented” method of retirement. After thorough research on the subject, E. Alan Fleischauer shares some of his theories on how life at retirement age can be lived to the fullest. He expatiates on budget spending, reconfiguring career choices, savings, and so much more. He specifically points out the fact that most Americans save towards retirement, but never plan for it. Makes sense, doesn't it? Using stories and related experiences, he made me realize that retirement from one's chosen career is just the end of a chapter in one's life. And like a book, when you're done with a chapter, you move to the next. Get this book and read, rather than listen to the words of a seasoned financial planner with sufficient knowledge of late-life crises.
When I got this book, I thought it was just one of the countless boring motivational books in circulation. After reading it, I found out that it wasn't close to boring. I have never heard Mr. Alan speak before, but while I was reading this book, it felt as though he was whispering words of wisdom into my ears. I felt like one of Mr. Alan's clients, listening to his wise and helpful words. The language of the book was so simple and informal that I thought I'd known the man for years. He illustrated his ideas by telling stories that had in-depth meanings. He advised people to work after retirement, and I wholeheartedly agree with him.
I have absolutely no negative reports concerning this book. Mr. Alan is well-versed in his chosen career, and he has chosen to share his knowledge of finance with millions of people for free. I appreciate this act of generosity, and I hope other people see the advantages of reading this book.
The positive aspects of this book are unending. First off, My retirement is not happening anytime soon, but I am indulged to start planning for it. This book is an eye-opener for people like me who tend to cross the bridge when we get to it. Now I would have to find out if the bridge is broken before I reach it. All I'm saying in essence is that; I believed that rather than thinking about retirement, why not spend your time making money and saving for it? Now I know the right thing to do. You, too, could get this insightful knowledge for free. Get a copy of this book, and thank me later (I mean after you've retired).
Despite the language being informal and simple, I recorded no particular errors in this book. That is one great feat, and I acknowledge the author's proficiency. All said and done; I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. Truly speaking, this book deserves even more accolades, and I feel grateful for reviewing it.
I recommend this book not only to people aged 40-50 years but also to those who just began their careers. Having a retirement plan at the beginning of your career is an opportunity most people did not have. Take hold of yours and use it for the greater good.
