Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book that is majorly about planning for retirement. The author argues that with the rising life expectancy rate in the United States, the need for the working population to plan for times ahead is greater than ever. He believes that retirement is an emerging issue, and with it being an area that has often been neglected, there is a lot to be done in terms of educating the masses. Mr. Fleischauer is a financial advisor and has offered readers a few pointers on how to go about this hot new topic.

To plan for retirement, there are a few factors to consider. First, is the income earned and the desired age of retirement. By considering these factors, one can come up with a plan that is well suited for the individual. Other things to consider are life insurance and social security payments. These are important because they can provide extra income after retirement. Health insurance and the need for long-term care are other matters to weigh when drafting a retirement plan as health is a major concern for the elderly.

There is a lot that I like about the book. First and foremost, the book outdid my expectations in terms of enjoyability. Despite it being written for an older audience, it was quite easy and fun to read. The author employed jokes throughout the book to lighten the mood and this helped in ensuring that I did not get bored while reading. The content is very eye-opening and informative. It is safe to say that I learned a lot from the book. Some of the things discussed seemed complex at first but the writer clearly explained everything and hence I was able to understand. I also commend the fact that the author did his best to make this book enjoyable. Most financial books may come off as dull.

There is nothing that I dislike about the book. It exceeded my expectations. In addition to it being informative and enjoyable, I did not find even a single error. The book is exceptionally well-edited.

I rate this book a solid 4 out of 4 stars. It stays true to its goal of providing readers with insights on how to plan for retirement. On top of this, there is a lot to learn from it. I would recommend this book to all adults thinking about retirement and everyone in the general working population.
