Reconfigurement is a self-help book written by E. Alan Fleischauer. It details the principles a person needs to follow before and after retirement. Putting into consideration that people aged 40 and above need to adequately prepare for the retirement period, this book contains great insights that can help an individual navigate through the period successfully without getting stranded. The benefits of saving, budgeting, and investing while working were also mentioned. Stories that showed the importance of personal disability policies and life insurance plans were incorporated.

Reading this content made me realize that squandered time can lead to squandered destiny; a person's youth should be a period of investment that generates enough income for their retirement days. It shouldn't be a period of spending money on frivolous things and being lazy. Furthermore, many people get to old age and begin to regret what they didn't do at their young age; the writer solves this issue by emphasizing the need to explore life in the youthful days by changing jobs, traveling, exercising, eating healthy foods, and participating in recreational activities. Doing all these would make an individual feel satisfied during his or her old age.

Another interesting thing about this book was that it mentioned some jobs that job seekers or retired people can indulge in to avoid depending on another person for their basic needs in life. These jobs include part-time and working-from-home jobs such as freelancing and so many others. In all, I've learned to begin reconfiguring my life by living my youthful life to the fullest and by investing in things that would benefit me much later in life.

This book deserves nothing less than a four out of four stars rating, and I'm happy that I gave it such a rating. I didn't dislike any part of it. There was no iota of error. The exceptional editing done to all aspects of the book made it more appealing to me. I love how the writer included links to websites that can assist one in making the right career and financial choices. I've also learned the necessity of taking care of my health and body very well. These reasons also made me give it an excellent rating score.

I recommend this write-up to youths, adults from 40 years upwards, civil servants, business owners, retirees, and individuals looking for jobs because the tips explained in this book would make them plan their lives properly, make good use of their time, and also overcome financial hurdles.
