Review of Reconfigurement
E. Alan Fleischauer wrote the book Reconfigurement. The writer saw the need to compile this book because of the way some people retire and start looking for money to keep up with their lives. He mentioned that it's essential for them to reconfigure their lives during their active working years, first by saving money so that they would be able to successfully sort out their bills later in the future, and secondly, by investing their money into life insurance schemes that would take care of them after their retirement. The story of Ann, who lost her life because of a lack of money to treat the stage-four colon cancer that she had, was shared. Assuming that she had personal disability insurance, she wouldn't have left that early. Indeed, planning for the future should start now.
After going through this book, I became sober for some minutes because its content made me carefully think about how my life is going. Would I be proud of myself in years to come that I've achieved my dreams? Or would I regret why I didn't achieve them? These were the questions that came to my mind. You can as well ask yourselves this question. Life, they say, is lived only once. So why not make the best out of it while you're still alive? Start that course, eat that delicacy, travel to your desired country, do your favorite exercise, and enroll in that training. The writer mentioned that one doesn't need to wait for retirement before starting any of them.
Budgeting your money before spending is also very necessary so that one doesn't end up becoming cashless in a short period. Creating a budget will help one to live within their means and adequately plan for expenses that will come up in the future. In addition, the titles of other books that talked about retirement were incorporated for readers to increase their knowledge of the term. All these were educative to me.
I'll give this book a rating of four out of four stars because no aspect of it less appealed to me. It was professionally edited; only one error was encountered. It was also enlightening; I loved how the life insurance policy was described; it made me more informed. The charts added that described financial plans made me fall in love with statistics more.
Workers, job hunters, chief executive officers, readers of finance books, retired people, young individuals, people close to their retirement age, and lovers of self-help write-ups would benefit from this book. So, I specifically recommend it to them.
