The problem is that many people don't know what to do after retirement because they didn't plan ahead of time, which leads to them committing crimes, falling into depression, and becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol. Through this book, Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer, the author attempts to lecture the reader on how to be successful in retirement. This self-help book is divided into thirteen chapters and guides the reader through several steps and wise decisions to make before retiring.

The author begins this informative book with his amazing research on the difficulties that many people face both before and after retirement. The author discusses why having a budget and an individual retirement account are necessary to help you manage your income and social security, allowing you to save in the near future. The author explains how to use your savings to supplement your health and life insurance. The author also discusses the benefits of investing in mutual funds and conducting several career assessments that would help the reader. In this book, the author discusses two major themes: the first is to plan ahead of time, and the second is to have fun before retiring. Pick up this book to find answers to the most frequently asked questions about financial planning towards retirement.

There are numerous aspects of this book that I enjoyed. For starters, the author's writing style and tone made this book interesting and simple to read. He employs concise language and humor to entice the reader to begin planning right away. Second, I liked the author's addition of websites and a list of other books that will allow the reader to benefit not only from his own experiences but also from those of others. I also liked how the author shared stories, quotes, and real-life facts to motivate the reader to act. Third, I'm thankful for the information I learned from this educational book. I commend the author for his dedication and research in producing this informative book.

To be honest, I don't have anything against this book. The author was stating incredible facts about financial planning and why we need new retirement strategies that actively incorporate pre-and post-retirement activities. I also liked that the author shared career assessments that the reader should conduct in order to make wise decisions and improve their individual's self-esteem. If you read to the end of this book, you will discover that the author is a living testament to this reconfiguration in financial planning.

While reading this book, I discovered two errors. This book was professionally edited. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it is both helpful and educational. I'm glad this book was written and researched by a financial advisor. I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading self-help books and educational materials.
