People are living longer than ever before thanks to medical science's daily discoveries and advances, but what many people don't realise is that a long life also means extra years after retirement. The author of Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, E. Alan Fleischauer, advises the reader to plan for their retirement in this book. The author provides information on various retirement plans; investing strategies; health insurance; income protection programs; career assessment; and more. Everyone has different ideas about how they want to spend their time after retirement, whether it's travelling, developing new hobbies, working a part-time job, or something else, and all of this should be considered when choosing a retirement plan.

One of my favourite things about this book was the writing style used by the author. This book contains a lot of information about different topics, such as many policies and finance, which can be boring to read about, but the way the author has represented all the facts is quite captivating. I also loved how the author has written multiple jokes in the chapters, which keeps the reader entertained throughout the whole book. Each chapter of this book covers a particular topic, which made it easier for me to absorb all the information. The author has also tackled some myths revolving around the Social Security system. Everything in this book is written in an easy-to-understand manner, even for beginner readers. This author also shares examples from his personal experience, which makes the topic more engaging and easy to grasp for the reader.

This book is well-written and informative. The only thing I did not like about this book is that it is mainly for people living in the United States of America. People living outside of the US may not find this book very relatable.

I can say this book is exceptionally well edited, as I could not find a single error, which made reading this book a delightful experience. I do not have any reason to deduct any stars, so I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

This book does not contain any material that might be offensive to someone. I would recommend this book to anyone older than 25 living in the USA. If you are someone who is reaching retirement age or have parents who might be planning to retire in the next few years, this book is for you.
