Planning is about making decisions and taking action to create the future we want. Reconfigurement is an educational and financial self-help book written by E. Alan Fleischauer, a financial advisor with over twenty years of experience. The book talks about how important it is to plan financially for our future at any stage of our lives.

For every working person, retirement is inevitable, and it would be wise to have a solid financial plan for living comfortably in the future. 'Reconfigurement financial planning' is a concept created by the author that involves focusing on a career you love and planning years before and even after retirement. Since financial planning involves a step-by-step strategy to help achieve our life goals, one will need a solid financial plan. This book serves as a guide to that financial plan and controls one's expenses, income, and investments before and after retirement to provide a comfortable future. It also answers some complex and challenging questions that might arise during reconfigurement financial planning.

I observed that the book has a table of contents with thirteen chapters and no pagination. It has some diagrams that the reader will find helpful; they provide a better illustration of the information in the book. The book has some quotes and jokes on some of the pages.

I love the quotes used in the book; they are important to reinforce the writer's ideas to the readers. He tells fictional and non-fictional stories with histories of some financial plans and investments. This is to explain his points better to the readers. The author tells some funny jokes to capture the reader's attention and ease the tension that the financial topic might bring to the reader. I liked that the book was an educative one. Although I might be far from retirement, this book gave me insights into life after retirement and clues on how to plan before that time.

I wouldn't say I liked that the writer didn't use numbers or bullet points to state his facts clearly. Instead, they were all clustered in the book. This might make it difficult for the reader to pick them out clearly. Also, some financial terms used in the book might be a bit complex or difficult to understand by readers who are not grounded in financial terminology. Aside from these, I believe the book will be found helpful by readers with enough money to save.

Although I found a few typographical errors in the book, these errors did not impede my reading progress. Therefore, I rate Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to readers interested in financial books on retirement, especially to working-class people who are getting towards retirement and those who are retired.
